Paignton Play Plaques

Saturday 21 October 2023 - Sunday 29 October 2023 , Paignton

Join a for a fun self-guided stroll around Paignton, with games, challenges and surprises to enjoy along the way. The bright pink Paignton Play Plaques look a little bit like the famous blue heritage plaques, but that’s where the similarity ends. Each has a family-friendly activity to try as you get out in the open air and enjoy your local surroundings in a whole new way.

There are 24 plaques to find along the meandering trail that links the ‘3 P’s of Paignton (Paignton Pier, Paignton Picture House and Palace Theatre). You can either start at one end or the other, or go completely wild and join somewhere in the middle. We'd love to see your photos, so don't forget to tag us at #PaigtonPlayPlaques

The Paignton Play Plaque Trail is part of Wide Open, a celebration of Paignton’s people, places and spirit. It has been created by the team at Tonic Creatives who love encouraging people to play in unusual places and spaces. Find out more about Wide Open at wide-open.uk

On Saturday 21 October Play Torbay will be leading fun walks along the route at 11am and 3pm as part of Playing in the Streets. These will start at 11am and 3pm and are free to join in. Please meet at their stand on Victoria Street
